Last year, Lauriston Hall received Places for People funding to replace their fence out the front of the hall. Dave from Fence 2 Fence has done a great job!
The ‘Places for People’ program is a Macedon Ranges Shire Council initiative to support and resource community groups and organisations to plan, develop and implement community infrastructure projects across the municipality that align with Council’s strategic directions and plans.
The Places for People program builds on Council’s place-making approach to developing community infrastructure and can support:
- improvements to community infrastructure
- township enhancement projects
- master plans for community infrastructure
- feasibility studies for future infrastructure projects.
Through participation in the program the Places for People program can also support building community capacity within community groups to develop and implement community infrastructure projects in the areas of:
- defining your need and sourcing supporting evidence
- community engagement and consultation
- project planning
- partnership development
- effective governance.
